THE NATURE OF GOLF
Nature of Golf Image Critique Blog
This colorful site was conceived and constructed by Gary Weisbrodt, our publishing group's dedicated Creative Director and photographer. This blog serves our cause in at least a couple of ways.
Gary and I are responsible for selecting which photos will be on display within our next coffee-table publication—and since we can't always reach a clear-cut decision between pairs of similar-but-not-quite-alike images—we've agreed that our viewers should decide which images make the final "cut."
GIVING GREEN
As a former golf course superintendent and long-time supporter of worthy organizations—such as the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Audubon International and my own Rotary Club of Regina Oskaya—any additional attention this on-line blog generates can only help with our fundraising efforts for another very worthy organization: the Environmental Institute for Golf, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America's philanthropic arm.
Help Us in Our Image Selection
The Nature of Golf Group was founded more than a dozen years ago to showcase some of the golf world's leading examples of eco-friendly developments. Our initial publication received outstanding testimonials from individuals associated with many of the game's iconic institutions, including:
•PGA Tour,
•United States Golf Association,
•Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA),
•American Society of Golf Course Architects
•The Golf Channel.
I'm confident our latest endeavor (to be released in 2011) will also be well received, thanks primarily to the extraordinary contributions of our newest partners: Joann Dost (Pacific Grove, CA), our world-ranked golf course photographer; Ann Liguori (Westhampton, NY), our award-winning interviewer; Brian McCallen (Stonington, CT), our renowned golf travel writer; and Crystal Beaton and Gary Weisbrodt, our talented Saskatchewan-based photographers.
